Stained Glass Photos

< Stained Glass >

I design the patterns for my stained glass creations in actual size in Powerpoint, almost always in black and white, sometimes with a small color image for color selection (as in picture below). Since I put the textured side of the stained glass toward the viewer, and cut on the smooth side (the back), I usually then make a second pattern flipped horizontally for cutting. Both patterns are the printed out, usually on 8.5" x 11" paper. The first is for assembling and the second for cutting. I use push pins over foam board for holding the pieces in place while I assemble and solder.
